Slowride Announces Rare Surprise Show Three Hours and Thirty Three Minutes Before Show Time

Saturday, October 17, 2009 - 9:15:46 AM

Slowride announced a rare surprise "reunion" show three hours and thirty three minutes before showtime this week.  Quite a few people turned up on October 14, 2009 to watch what was originally just going to be a Slowride band practice for an uncoming winter show in December for the Elm St. Tattoo Christmas Party.

The Dallas Observer wrote an article about the show (including photos) on October 15, 2009:

Steve Visneau Leaves Slowride

Sunday, March 5, 2006 - 3:33:25 PM

I just got off the phone with Dan and it has been decided that I leave the band for now. The decision is MUTUAL! As many of you know I have a two year old child and my wife is pregnant with our second. Time away on tour this year is just not possible for me.

I personally want to thank everyone and anyone who has ever come to our shows, bought our merch, let us crash on their floor, BOUGHT US BEER, booked a show, recorded our record, played with your band, gave us food, GAVE US BEER, fixed our van, or helped us in any other way. Also thanks to all the people who have told me how they enjoy watching me play. I DO.

I'm sure I will be getting into something new, I let ya know what's up. Make sure when The Ride comes through this summer you get out and support R.O.B., Dan and the new guy(or girl). Two best friends, 5 1/2 years, 3 full-length records, touring countless states and most of Europe, what more could I ask. Rock.

Steve.
