TUMBLEDOWN HEAD INTO THE NEW YEAR WITH NEW TOUR DATES AND A NEW SINGLE, “GREAT BIG WORLD”
Los Angeles, CA, January 23, 2012 – Ready to kick off the new year with a bang, Bremerton, WA-based
alt-country/rockabilly band TUMBLEDOWN is heading out on a two-week West Coast tour. The foursome will team up with Drag The River for the start of the tour on February 10 in San Francisco, CA, through February 13 in San Diego, CA. TUMBLEDOWN will continue the tour on their own, ending on February 21 in Denver, CO.
With their sophomore release, EMPTY BOTTLE, already outselling their debut album in less than a year, two U.S. tours, a handful of West Coast runs, and tour dates in Japan, South America and Mexico, TUMBLEDOWN is ready to release their second single, "Great Big World," which will be serviced to radio this week. Making a name for themselves from their endless touring schedule, frontman Mike Herrera describes the single, "I'd like to write a verse about every place I've ever been, and this is a pretty good start. I gotta put one foot in front of the other because we got a long way to go, and we'll be passing through your town to get there."
TUMBLEDOWN’s music takes that sepia-tinged image of Americana and sends it hurtling into the present, with the help of some punk-inflected riffs and pure rock & roll attitude. EMPTY BOTTLE, the band’s second release through Austin, Texas, indie label End Sounds, is proving to be a defining album for TUMBLEDOWN, a follow-up to their self-titled album released in 2009.
